NovemBrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

So here we go.  A nice warm 65 degree November day as Veterans around the country are honored, and BAM!  It's in the 30's.  Not only that, but a nice blanket of nearly 5 inches of snow falls the following weekend.  But as if that was not enough, temperatures then drop to the low teens with near zero wind chills!  Not too bad for mid November.  Hopefully this is just a taste of what we can expect this winter.  Cold and snow come on down.  We have openings through March!

Boom!!!

This is what we call a successful start to the 2014 - 2015 winter season.  This beauty dropped a whopping 4.75 inches of snow according to the Number One on the Fold official snow monitor.  Not only do we get some early snow, but we get an Arctic blast of air to be fully documented soon at the conclusion of the event.  Let's set records people!

A Sign of Things to Come?

We can only hope.  Beyond a strange looking radar, this is hopefully the first of many snow filled radars this winter.  As snow threatens the area this weekend, the Number One on the Fold weather center will be tracking each snow event this winter with official Number One on the Fold patio measurements. Here's hoping to a record winter for cold and snow.  May the polar vortex set up camp in the lower 48 from now through February in a winter for the ages.

Election Night 2014

A small glimmer of hope?  Maybe this will be hope and change back.  Some things learned this election night were Mitch McConnell had polio, Joni Ernst wore bread bags on her shoes on her way to school on rainy mornings, and one candidate drove his truck over 85,000 miles while campaigning in Louisiana.  Oh, and this is not about Obama, but it is, but it's not, but it is.  But it is a wave election, but it's not, but it is now.  It is an anti-incumbent night, not anti-democrat, except that the only incumbents losing are democrats.  Two glasses of tea, pork with BBQ sauce, a couple of cookies, and we have reached the end of the night.  Will have to check on Alaska tomorrow.

Bombs Away

This Saturday started with a heavy barrage of fire power sinking ship after ship.  After two close game that ended within one and two hits, the third round proved to be no contest for the younger of the contestants as 17 out of 34 shots were hits and led to the quick sinking of his opponents fleet.  Sadly, there were more military strikes in the living room today than in Obama's faux air campaign in Syria.  But then again, we were trying to win our wars.

Touchdown Kentucky!!!!

Was the ending ever in doubt?  Being down 14 points twice in the game, including in the fourth quarter, proved to be a mere bump in the road to VICTORY.  Big Blue had the old ball coach's number on this night.  C-A-T-S Cats Cats cats!
